The Film Festival

Every year all the school’s around Glen Innes make movies for everyone to watch on the Extreme Screen at Sylvia Park. Our latest session was on November the 11, only 3 school were there because everyone couldn’t fit in the cinema. But all the movies didn’t show because there wasn’t enough time, so there was a session at night that would show all the movies.

Last week all the schools in our cluster all went to Sylvia park for the Film Festival. As we arrived we saw 2 other schools, including Tamaki College. We went into the cinema and found our selves a seat. We waited for Tamaki Intermediate, and Glenbrae to come, when they came the movies started.

Tamaki College open up the film Festival there movie was called "Girls League Champions 2011". As I saw them come up to introduce them self I got up and started to cheer. It was a cool movie. The second movie we watched was "We Stand in Black" by Tamaki intermediate. It was hilarious because they made there own Flash Mob in Sylvia Park. During the day we watched some more movies.

Up next was a movie from our class it was "Enviro Travel". I was cheering as loud as I could because I was so excited to watch the movie. When the movie finished I thought that was the best movie so far. The film festival was nearly finished but there were 2 movies left. They were both awesome, but Tamaki College closed the film festival aswell with a movie called "Thriller".

All the movies didn’t show on our session so I went to the night one, so I didn’t really have a favourite movie. But when I went at night and I saw all the movies my favourite movie was "Te News". (Click on the links to watch the movies).

  1. Athena this is a fabulous report on the Film Festival - well done! I will be showing this to some of the adult supporters of Manaiakalani. I am pleased you went to the Evening Showcase to catch the movies you missed. It would have been a real shame to have missed Te News because EVERY one who sees it loves it.

I am very impressed with your skills linking through to all the movies you enjoyed. Congratulations!

    Mrs Burt :)
