A Summary of Jesse Owens !

There had been a lot of competitors in the Olympics, Jesse owens was one of the greatest olympians of all. Jesse beat all the odds, but hitler didn’t want Jesse Owens to be in the Olympics because he was Nigro.

Owen was the seventh child of eleven siblings. He was born in a small part of Alabama, even though he was born there he mostly grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. Jesse’s real name was James Cleveland but his teacher couldn’t understand him because of his accent, so she started calling him Jesse. One day of school he was playing on the playground and the junior high coach took him off the playground and set him for work and the running track.

In 1936 Jesse arrived at the Summer Olympics in Berlin. Even though Hitler’s Germans hated him he fought hard and won a total of 4 gold medals. Jesse was a man of great strength.

His coach Charles Riley had changed his life and history. He had attributed his all of his Olympic success to him. He had made another world record in the relay, it wa his last event in the Olympics. He went out with pride and success.

Jesse Owens was a great man. He is someone which people can look up to him as a hero and a role model.
