Girls softball tournament

Last week the year 7 and 8 girls went to Remuera Intermediate for softball. We left the school at 8:30 in the morning. When we arrived at the school we started practising. Our school wasn’t in the 1st round so we had more time to practise. When it was the 2nd round the year 7 and 8’s split up and challenged other schools. I was in the year 7 team.

The team that we challenged was Parnell Intermediate. They were a year 8 team. Our team bated first, we got a lot of home runs but when 3 people got out it was there turn. They got out and we won the game. The score was 11 - 6. Then we had another game .

We versed Tamaki Intermediate witch is another year 8 team. We were fielding and Tamaki Intermediate bated. They had lots of home runs but then we got them out. It was our turn to bat we got out straight away. The score was 6 - 3.

We had 4 more games we lost 2 and won 2. We went into the finals. We challenged against Tamaki Intermediate it was the 1st year 7 team that we challenged. We lost that game but we came 2nd . The year 8 team came 5th.
