Graphs are more understandable instead of reading a whole piece of writing . It gives more information . You get the information by doing a survey or by asking questions . Our class room 21 asked each other what their favourite colours are. There are heaps of graphs like bar graphs, line graphs, pie charts and many more . The graph that I have used is a bar graph as you can see . After we asked each other our teacher Mrs Lagitupu told us to go on the internet and create a graph and this is how I got the graph .

My goals
My goal for this year is to improve my writing as well as reading . I want to improve my writing because I want my writing to get better . I hope I reach this goal by the end of the year . I want to improve my reading by reading more books and listen to my teacher .

The day at Rainbowes End !
In the weekends i went to Rainbws'end . I went with my brother Jaguar, my cousins Ray, Bobbi-Grace and Bobbi-Grace's grandma and her dad. We left home at 10 O'clock . When we arrived at Rainbws'end we waited for Bobbi-Graces dad to come so we could get in together .
The first ride that we went on was the INVADER . We run up to the line and waited for our turn . A little while later it was our turn . When the ride was going we all got excited . But when the ride was finished we wanted to go again ! But we went on the POWER SURGE !
When we went on the Power surge we had to take our loose belongings . I took my shoes off because I didn't want them to fall . As we were going up I got very excited , but when it started going it started to hurt my head . As it finished I got a big headache . But then I sat down and it went away .Then I had fun .
Through the day I went on heaps of rides . But the ride I liked the best was go carts . I liked it because it was my first time driving it . But I had fun at Rainbws'end and enjoyed all the rides .

My Holiday Highlights
In the holidays I went to the pools . The pools that I went to was Swimarama . I went with my cousins . When we arrived we got changed into our togs and picked a spot to put our stuff .
As we picked our spot we started to eat some food .
A little while later we hopped into the pool . When I hopped in I ran back out . I ran back out because it was to cold , then my cousins started laughing at me . Then when it got hot I got up and hopped in the pool . Even though it was cold I still stayed in there . Then it started to get warm and so I started to swim around .
As I was swimming around I saw my cousins playing tag i wanted to play , so I asked if I could play and they said yes . But they said I had to be in . Then I tagged Ray . When we finished the game we wanted to go and eat . We all ran out and ran to the food . When we finished eating we went and got changed . We all met up outside and caught the bus back home .
It was a fun day at the pools . Hope we go there again and have more fun !

Tamaki Tech Reflection
On Monday it was the first day of tech at Tamaki College for the year 7's and year 8's . When the first bell went we started walking down to Tamaki College . As we arrived we stood in our groups for tech . I was in 7A , I did wood tech . There was Wood tech , Food tech , Electronics , Science and Graphics !
My teacher was Mr Grundy . When 7A arrived to Mr Grundy's class he told us to call him SIR instead of Mr Grundy . He handed out some paper , so that we could draw our design's for our design that we are doing .We made them as booklets and 1 piece of paper was for drawing our design's. We had to make our design out of a housing joint , We could add some more wood or take some off .
When we finished drawing Sir told us the rules for wood tech . We had to write all the rules down . There were 7 rules . Some of them were walk don't run , don't wave the chisel around and this is no play area . As we finished writing the rules down we had to give our booklets to Sir , and put the other paper in the bin !
When tech finished we had to get back into straight lines . As we were in our lines we had to walk back to school . When we arrived at school it was morning tea , so we got our lunch .

Hi my name is Athena Vili and I am a year 7 at Point
England School . I am 10 years old , my birthday is on the 13th of February . I have one brother and his name is Jaguar .
I live at near school . My parents names are Realeen and Jonah . I am a Samoan and Maori . When I grow up I want to be a travler .
I really like sports , my favourite sport is rugby . I like rugby because I like to tackel people and have fun ! In the school athletics I came 1st in Discus . When I found out that I came 1st i was happy . Then in the interzones I came 2nd and I felt so good .When it was my turn I felt nervous because I had to verse other people from different schools . At assembly when they were giving out the certificates i heard my name get called out . I was smiling because I thought that I didnt get any placing .
My favourite fruit are plums, oranges, and mangoes . I like them because they taste delicious ! My favourite colours are blue and green . I like them because they look cool and awesome .
